Design Thinking is a core element in structuring an ideation and innovation process – it is a proven method to ensure user-centric innovation and to achieve long term value.

What is design thinking?

Design thinking is a methodology that supports transformation, evolution and innovation in the legal and regulatory space. It allows those less familiar with project management to easily conceptualize new forms of delivering services and managing business within organizations.

Design thinking is often perceived as a valuable visualization technique to bring tangible, approachable methodologies into the often abstract discussion about product development. Design thinking often translates theoretical concepts into a more practical approach to enable quick wins in product management and development.  

Through design thinking, problems and obstacles in feasibility become more visible, therefore it is an easy-to-use methodology to identify specific problems, stakeholders, personas and needs.

This is closely connected with the principle of building out prototypes, which is crucial when implementing new processes and tools (‘rapid prototyping’).
